Join us Every Wednesday during Lent for a humble soup dinner in the gym and special worship service in the Parlor immediately afterwards.
Lent begins Ash Wednesday March 5. It is a season of prayer and the whole church will invited to participate. We will celebrate communion every Wednesday during our worship time where there will prayers, scripture reading, and meaningful music.
Along with the Wednesday events, everyone will be asked to read a daily devotional prayer book by Mark Batterson called Draw the Circle: 40 Days of Prayer. This can be done in your own homes on your own schedule just for personal growth.
However, together, as the church reads and prays together, the hope and promise is that Southminster sees a continuing of the growth and faith that we have already begun. God is leading us in new ways and we must be bold and courageous in our prayers and God will be bold and courageous with us.
Lent is a wonderful time to reflect and pray and I hope you will be able to join with us.
Copies of the book will be available at church for $12 each.
