What a great congregation that we have endured a year unlike any other and come through it with strong ministries, strong faith, and hope for the future. The meeting was both online via Zoom and in person. Trying to figure out mics, sharing screens and audio feedback for such a meeting took some tinkering, but we managed to get through it. The video reports unfortunately did not work during the meeting so they are included below.
Our annual meeting was a time to receive the Annual Report, approve my Terms of Call, and elect our corporate officers required for the State of Missouri. The report is a summary of each of the ministries and teams within the church and their activities from the past year. The Elder or Chair of each team writes up the highlights along with those involved so that the rest of the church can be made aware of what the whole church has been doing. Especially this past year when chit-chat over coffee and cookies and parties and gatherings have been scaled back, it has been hard to grasp how hard so many people have continued to work so hard for Jesus.
Obviously worship has continued with fits and starts online and in-person, Christian Education and Youth events all moved online, and other commissions found ways to adapt to meetings and service in as safe a way as possible.
