Worship Arts
The praise band is a big part of our ministry's calling to open hearts and minds to the power of God's word. If you have a heart to dedicate your time to this calling, we have more than enough room for your talents!
In fact there's never been a better time to dust off that old guitar, find your drum sticks, or get your chops back in shape. And if you are an active musician elsewhere, what are you waiting for?
But there's more to this ministry than Sunday music. In 2008 the worship arts ministry will really be on the move - We will be hitting the studio to record a CD of our most popular worship tunes, expanding our musical abilities, branching into multiple musical groups, and, Lord willing, performing for audiences beyond the normal reach of our neighborhood location.
Making music not your thing? Perhaps your talents can add to the worship and communication experience through the visual arts, stage setting, or lighting. Are you good with computers or digital graphics? How about working on developing or presenting the digital projection we do each week. Got good ears? The tech team needs people to produce our sound each week. (We even train you!) Got a strong back? How about pitching in to help us set up and take down the equipment for the second service.

The bottom line: provide the setting and the mediums for modern worshipers to come to Southminster Presbyterian and become closer to our Saviour through a meaningful, fulfilling, and captivating experience.
