We have many opportunities to serve during VBS each summer! We have opportunities for both up-front-and-in-the-action or behind the scenes. A few open positions include committee heads, lead and assistant teacher, recreation assistants, crafts helpers, and gophers. If you are interested in helping with VBS 2010, please contact the church office.

This is the perfect opportunity to build lasting relationships with the children of this church. With sports, vacations, and everything in between, summer is a busy time for both children and adults. Coming to Sunday School provides a great sense of routine for the children in the church.

Please prayerfully consider giving your time to teach Sunday School. If you are available for two or more weeks, please contact the Children's Ministry office to be put on the schedule.

 

They're cute, say funny things, but need to be engaged directly by the teacher. Three and four year olds think very concretely. They need to experience, see, touch, taste, and smell what they are learning about. Most of the learning takes place through listening to the story, and doing activities, crafts, and games related to the story. The love of Jesus will become real to them through the love they experience from you!

 

They are in the beginning years of schooling, learning to read and write, still very open to direct adult instruction, not questioning much yet. They think concretely, yet wonder what they are learning about. A lot of learning takes place through activities, games, & crafts.They naturally want to ask questions and interact with you and their peers, so plenty of time for questions and discussion should be allowed. You will change their lives because you have opened their minds and hearts to the most important person in their lives: Jesus.

 

Most children in second and third grade are learning to be more independent and to rely on themselves. Although we want to encourage responsibility, kids must learn to rely on God.

They are capable of questions and some discussion and are beginning to connect how things fit together. They still need crafts, games, and other fun activities to learn and grow at an optimal level.

 

5th Grade 

They are quick to question and love to discuss how the Bible and God fit into their lives. They still need a variety of activities to stimulate their learning, so games, crafts, songs, and stories are a big part of this class.
