Mother's Day Out/Pre-School
Southminster Pre-School and Mother's Day Out is a non-profit, Christian program where all children are welcome. Our programs operate September through May on an enrollment basis. We are dedicated to providing the child with a warm atmosphere of love, support, and acceptance of him/her as a unique individual created by God. Southminster Pre-School and Mother's Day Out considers it a privilege to be entrusted with the care and teaching of young children.
Pre-School Program
Our Pre-School program prepares 3, 4, and 5 year olds for Kindergarten. We have a unique, teacher-student ratio of 1 teacher to 5 students, providing more individualized attention than most pre-school programs. Our program offers hands on learning experiences, getting along with others in a group situation, and having fun learning with friends. We help children to develop a positive self-image, build self-confidence, and have pride in the challenges they have met and the skills they have mastered.
Pre-school classes are available to children who are a minimum of 3 years old and potty-trained by August 1, 2010.
All classes meet from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm.
The Pre-school classes are available as follows:
3 & 4 year-old class (2 day program): Tues. & Thurs.
3 & 4 year-old class (3 day program): Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
Older 4s & 5 year-old class (3 day program) : Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
3 & 4 year-old class (2 day program): Tues. & Thurs.
3 & 4 year-old class (3 day program): Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
Older 4s & 5 year-old class (3 day program) : Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
Older 4s & 5 year-old class (4 day program): Mon., Tues., Wed., & Thurs.
Progress Reports are given twice yearly and parent-teacher conferences are offered as well. Weekly newsletters are sent home from each class and a monthly newsletter from the Program Director.
Mother's Day Out Program
Our Mother's Day Out program offers children ages 2 and 3 the opportunity to have a social situation outside the home. The children are in a loosely structured learning environment which offers the opportunity to experience different craft media and learn about being "independent" from Mom or Dad, perhaps for the first time.
Mother's Day Out class options include one, two, three, or four days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday) from 9:00 am -12:30 pm.
